Rabbi Shai was educated in Israel, England and the United States, in places such as the prestigious King David High School in Manchester England. He holds a degree in Education from Prescott College in Arizona, as well as Judaic Studies and Early Childhood Education with an emphasis on the expressive arts and Cantorial studies. Rabbi Shai comes from a long line of Rabbi’s Cantors and Educators. He received his Smicha (ordination) as a Rabbi and teacher in New York City from Rabbi Joseph H. Gelberman (RSI). He also holds a Pastoral Counseling and Theology Awareness Certification, and is a member of the International Coaching Association.

Rabbi Shai has worked in Jewish education for over 25 years. He has taught preschool, Sunday/Hebrew school, Jewish day school, and has been the Director of various religious and Hebrew schools around the country. He gives workshops and performs all over the world. He has recorded and produced three children’s albums and an exclusive contemporary adult Jewish album (“Ma Tovu – songs for Shabbat”) with Artemis records.

Israeli born, with strong British and American roots, Rabbi Shai draws upon many influences, but has a unique energy and appeals to a wide range of audiences, of all ages. His understanding and proven abilities, lure one in with a sense of Intimacy, Joy and Excitement.
